An open-source game project which started out with the goal to become a full-fledged and complete MMORPG to be run on FreeBSD, MacOSX, Linux and Windows. After going through several redesigns it has now evolved into a ready to use game-building framework. Three games have been created with it so far: Stendhal, Gladiators and Mapacman.

Among other things like participating in design discussions have created some concept art, graphics, races and a game world called Qul for it. See the archive link above if you're interested. I stopped working on it though after the project stalled for a long time. It seems to be alive and well again now, though it has taken a completely different direction from the thing we were working on at the time.

A very exciting project by my friend Thomas Siegl. He has been making an educational 3D-animated movie about the process of photosynthesis as part of his "Magister" (master) thesis. I had the honour of participating in this a little by providing some perl and MEL scripts to help him import protein structure data (PSD) files into Alias|Wavefront Maya.
I will publish those scripts here when they have reached release quality.
If all goes well, you will be able to buy this movie on DVD in the near future.

Funktionalität umfasst dabei eine Anbindung and eine SQL Datenbank, Verwaltung von Mitgliederdaten und des Wettbewerbsmanagements, ein Mitgliederforum und mehr.

An exciting multinational and multimedial arts project I helped a little by setting them up a linux box and donating my home boxes CPU cycles to 3D rendering.

Kanalattacke, eine offene Plattform für Menschen, die des passivem Konsums überdrüssig sind und sich selbst kreativ ausdrücken wollen. Das eigene kreative Potential soll durch diverse Vereinstätigkeiten im kulturellen Bereich wiederentdeckt und wiederbelebt werden. Ich habe mich vor einiger Zeit bereit erklärt, das Webforum zu administrieren, und versuche auch sonst hin und wieder mitzuwirken.

SDI ist ein an der TU Graz entwickeltes Softwaretool für Design, Konstruktion und FE-Berechnung von Silostrukturen.
Meine Aufgabe bestand darin, ein erweiterbares Modul zu programmieren, das die als Ergebnis ausgegebenen Text- und Grafik- und anderen Daten in frei strukturierbare PDF-Dokumente zur Präsentation der Ergebnisse umwandelt. Hierzu wurden Fortran90 und LaTeX eingesetzt.
Vielleicht werde ich ja noch zu einem "Real Programmer"! ;)

SDI is a software tool developped at the Technical University of Graz aiding design, construction and FE-calculation of silo-structures.
My task was developing an expandable module which can transform the resulting text, graphics and other data into a freely definable PDF-presentation. I used the Fortran90 programming language and LaTeX typesetting framework for this.
Incidentially, having done this might prove I am on my way to become a Real Programmer. ;)

XdTV is a TV viewing application for Linux.
I was asked by developer Pingus to do a German translation of it, so I started work on that. I'm not yet done though. And yay! I'm learning *roff now!
